USAID, MNRE announce new partnership to develop clean energy

USAID and MNRE on July 7, 2020 announced the launch of a partnership between the USAID-supported South Asia Group for Energy.

US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced a new partnership to increase collaboration for clean energy development.

Under the partnership, SAGE will provide advanced technical knowledge on clean energy development embedded in the US Department of Energy’s National Laboratories to the MNRE’s National Technical Institutions and other public institutes.

The partnership has been established between the USAID-supported South Asia Group for Energy (SAGE) and MNRE’s National Technical Institutions. As per the partnership, SAGE will offer advanced technical knowledge on clean energy development to MNRE’s National Technical Institutions. SAGE will also help US in achieving its goals of Asia EDGE (Asia Enhancing Growth and Development through Energy) Initiative.
